Passover is a Jewish holiday that doesn't allow for fermented or leavened products to be eaten. For a tasty morning breakfast food or even a brunch try this recipe for matzo meal pancakes.
To make this tasty passover dish use
- Three eggs
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- One cup of cold water
- One cup matzo meal
- Oil for frying
- Skillet
Once you've gathered all of your ingredients,
- Beat three eggs, add ¼ teaspoon of salt, one cup cold water
- Add one cup matzo meal
- Mix well should have the texture of pancake batter
- Pour ¼ cup of batter in a skillet or on a griddle
- Fry until brown on each side
- Lay pancakes on paper towel to drain out most of the oil
- Serve hot, with honey
Additional garnishes are chopped walnuts, maple syrup.
